Preface
This group of safety-training materials was prepared by the Safety Center, Inc., a chapter of the National Safety Council, with the assistance of Farm Employers Labor Service (FELS.) The Safety Center is a nonprofit, nongovernmental organization whose mission is to bring about an injury-free society through the promotion of safety and health.

Material concept and preparation were supervised by AgSafe. AgSafe is a coalition of public, private, labor, and business groups in California interested in safety-and-health issues in agriculture. Material publication and distribution is made possible by the funding support of the Division of Agriculture and Natural Resources, University of California.

These materials are being disseminated in the public domain for the use of and distribution by any group or organization involved in agricultural work. They may be reformatted and published under any organizational sponsorship. AgSafe and the Safety Center do request that they be cited in any such use.

The Safety modules are intended to be used as a supplement to an agricultural employer's basic safety training program and is in no way to be used as a substitute for a thorough job training.

Each safety module is comprised of an English and a Spanish version of the safety topic with illustrations of the subjects in each module. The text and illustrations are available in a booklet and on a diskette. The diskette version allows users of the material to edit and format the material as they choose.

The safety modules may be used by anyone with the understanding that credit be given to AgSafe.
